1:1 LEADERSHIP COACHING
The pointy end of leadership…
There’s a time in every leaders career when the way you feel about your role changes.
Decisions become more than hypothetical.
Conversations start to carry consequences.
And what you say (or don’t say) carries more weight than it used to.
That’s often when people reach out to me.
Not because something is going wrong, but because the role is making you feel more exposed.
What my coaching gives space for…
This work is about thinking properly when things are complex.
It’s a place to slow down what’s happening in your head…
to notice what you’re circling…
and to work out what actually matters before you speak or act.
Sometimes that’s about preparing for a specific conversation.
Sometimes it’s about noticing a pattern you keep repeating.
Most of all, it’s about deciding what kind of leader you want to be in this moment, not in theory.
The people this tends to resonate with…
Most of the people I work with are already capable leaders.
They’re trusted.
They’re visible.
They’re carrying responsibility that doesn’t switch off at the end of the day.
They’re not looking to explore how leadership works, they know that…
They’re looking to answer the questions that sit beneath it.
The ones that people just aren’t talking about openly and honestly.
What I bring to the work…
I pay attention to what’s being avoided as much as what’s being discussed.
To the assumptions that are shaping your decisions.
To where your confidence takes a back seat to uncertainty, or a difficult questions turns into an overwhelmed silence.
My role is to be your partner as you think things through.
To listen without judgement to what’s going on.
And to challenge when it helps.
This is beyond just your performance as a leader.
It’s about honing your judgement and using it confidently.
What this looks like in practice…
Coaching is one-to-one and confidential.
Some people come to me for a short period and we focus on a particular issue.
Other people prefer to work with me over time, as their role evolves.
How it looks tends to become clear once we start talking.
“I came away from every session feeling confident and empowered to drive my direction and strategy and ensure I was working towards my goals.”
Where things usually begin…
Often it’s a conversation or question that’s been going around in your head.
Maybe with someone else in mind.
Maybe just with yourself.
Either way, if you’re at that point, you’ll know.
