Welcome to Speaking of Inclusion… Space to Talk
A facilitated space for exploration, expression, reflection, and discussion. A space for individuals to come together to share perspectives, challenge ideas, and expand understanding through the power of group conversation. Collectively, we believe there is power in empathetic listening, critical thinking, and the notion that there is no one “right” way to be.
About this space
Safe spaces. Big conversations.
What Space to Talk is…
A facilitated space to explore the tricky, taboo, complex, or uncomfortable conversation topics of society. A place for you to share your ideas, perspectives, questions, and confusions, knowing you will be met with compassion for where you are by those in the group. It is a learning environment founded on vulnerability, openness, and the experimentation of thoughts and concepts.
It is also a space where mistakes are welcome, and you have the right to change your mind on any topic or position you may have previously held. We all participate as adults and will engage with each other as such. You are free to take what is of use to you from the space and leave the rest.
What it isn’t…
It is not a space that is free from accountability. There are a few fundamental ground rules that must be adhered to for the safety of the group. These will form the basis of the contract of safety that we will co-create with one another.
These are:
What is said in this space is confidential to the group.
You may not share the stories of others, but you are free to share your personal learning because of their stories.
We do not engage with any forms of hate speech or language intended to cause harm.
If we use harmful language by accident or unknowingly, we will practice compassionate accountability, look to educate one another, and grow as a group.
By participating we consent to having our views challenging, including the facilitators.
Confidentiality and safety will always be the first priority in any session, therefore we will take some time to contract as a group for psychological safety, outlining what we each need, facilitators included.
In terms of recording these sessions, it will not be permitted in any format including AI note takers, unless it’s an accessibility requirement for a participant, in which case that will be shared in advance so that everyone knows. Covert recording locally by participants is not permitted under any circumstances.
1 standard member month access PLUS 1 × 60 minute 1:1 coaching session.
